Anjani Trivedi is The Economist‘s global business correspondent. She writes about shifts and trends across global industries. Anjani previously wrote a column for Bloomberg Opinion, based in Dubai and Hong Kong covering industrial companies across Asia-Pacific. Prior to that, she wrote for the Wall Street Journal’s Heard on the Street column about industrial companies, banks and markets. She also wrote pieces on markets and finance in Asia. She has written for the New York Times, TIME Magazine and CNN. Before her career in journalism, Anjani worked at UBS Investment Bank and the International Finance Corporation. She studied mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has a masters degree in journalism and communications.
