Edward is Director of Engagement and Partnerships at SWFI and a specialist in public sector and industry engagement across policy, finance, economics, investment and regulation. A member of the SWFI leadership team, he brings together diverse voices from across this ecosystem to provide a practical, balanced set of perspectives on the outlook and interplay between government, tech and the private sector.

Before joining SWFI in 2022, Edward spent a decade at UK policy and investment think tank OMFIF, developing a global network of official institutions and their private sector counterparts. This included a five-year tenure as Board Director from 2014-19, ensuring products and services were commercially viable, long-term, and strategic in nature.

Prior to this, he was responsible for corporate and government relations, and political and economic intelligence at Canning House. He has been a Trustee and Chairman of the Anglo Central American Society and Anglo Ecuadorian Society, building on past experience as a lecturer at the Universidad Nacional de San Agustín in Peru and Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas in Mexico, representing the British Council. Edward has a Master’s degree in French and Spanish translation from the University of the West of England and also speaks Portuguese.
