Ranu is the Co-founder and Executive Vice Chairman, spearheading strategic projects and key relationships that drive the growth of the organization. He has spent the last 25 years in the Indian financial services industry, right from the dot com bust to the promise of a digital India.

Avendus is home to India’s largest investment bank, a leading wealth management business for HNIs and UHNIs, a specialized alternative asset platform and a credit solutions business. It also houses Avendus Spark, India’s #1 domestic institutional brokerage house.

From founding Coolstartups.com, a company that connected startups to various resources, and one that started operations from a small office above a garage in Mumbai in 1999, to managing a company of 500+ employees that are present in 11 locations across India, UK, US and Singapore. Avendus has carved a niche for itself by partnering with top entrepreneurs, family offices and corporate treasuries. Prior to co-founding Avendus, Ranu worked with a Tampa (USA) based technology and media investment bank, Communications Equity Associates (CEA) and Hinduja Finance, a diversified financial services firm.

Ranu holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
